We recommend the following restaurants close by our rural cottage:

Restaurant Palacio de Canedo

In the village of Canedo, the visit alone of this palace, dating back late XVIII century, is worth it. You are driving into Canedo, next to our rural cottage, and then suddenly, as if taken out of context, a majestic palace of baroque architecture is appearing in the horizon, perfectly integrated into the surroundings with its large vineyard. This is why it has been declared as property of cultural interest in the category of monument.

Once inside, a discrete music helps creating a special atmosphere in the friendly lounges, full of many details in a range from country to stylish, however everything is always at its perfect place and in harmony with the noble stone, the wood and other elements related with the world of wine.

The whole hotel and wine complex is the true expression of the amazing personality of José Luis Prada, a personage famous in and beyond these lands.

Moncloa of San Lázaro

The Moncloa of San Lázaro in Cacabelos is an old hospital now transformed into a refuge for local culture, arts, architecture and gastronomy and it stands out from the  usual typology of building in the lower Bierzo area. It is a "Palloza", a characteristic construction in the Ancares, which is now used as an exhibition hall and as a shop for public selling of handmade products.

The Moncloa of San Lázaro is one of the nicest pieces of the region architecturally speaking, gathering all aspects of the building typology of the area, having been renovated for its present use as a restaurant.

Restaurant Las Pallozas – Legacy of the Bierzo

The restaurant Las Pallozas Bierzo is located in a singular building, relics of a not so distant past, in a rural enclave where one can simply enjoy the green plantations of tree fruits.
Las Pallozas welcomes anyone who wishes to taste the typical local products with a very personal touch. Exquisite and typical dishes of the Bierzo region are prepared by some expert hands, ensuring full pleasure and quality.
